February is usually my most favourite month of the year but this year I think I would call it the worst… I do not like to dwell on negatives and I try to focus on good staff but every now and again I have my ups and downs. Part of my life you see on this blog is very fashion and lifestyle based and I try to show you the best and most interesting things that are happening in my life. The other part tends to be hectic as well as difficult and at times like every human, I have my problems…
Moving on from that I did managed to publish quite a few posts in February and got even more work done and pictures coming in the future weeks. The post I liked the most was trend related and I would recommend it check it out if you have not had a chance yet (available here). As I get a lot of questions about handbags, how to start the collection and where to invest you money, I am thinking of doing a comprehensive post listing all the does and don’ts. Let me know if it is something you would be interested in ?
My favourite outfit of the month would have to go the most recent one (available here if you want to check it out). I love the relaxed vibe of the look and just being comfortable in what I am wearing. Plus the scarf adds that something different that I have not tried before !
My favourite(s) of last month would have to go to beauty products. I have been pretty minimalistic with my fashion purchases and somehow concentrated on beauty more that ever before. I have been loving most of the products I tried in particular these two…
Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay
I feel like I quite late to the party as both of these have a cult status but sometimes it takes me longer to buy into idea of needing to own certain things. But without the shadow of the doubt they are worth the money and I have been using them daily.
As for my resolution to travel somewhere different every month, it looks like I failed completely this month. It was too busy both at work and in my personal life and unfortunately I had to stay home. However, it looks like I have one very unexpected trip coming up in March so stay tuned for that !
How was your month like ? I would love to hear from you !
As usual thank you very much for stopping by and I hope to see you soon !
I love this time of the year when the days are longer and somehow I get more energy just by thinking of warmer months. Trees and grass become greener and spending more time outdoors starts to be a possibility in not so distant future.
Warmer and longer days for me are always associated with injecting colour and coming out of my comfort zone. As I am not that adventurous with what I like to wear, I decided to start in a very simple way and added this bright and colourful scarf to this otherwise plain outfit. I had this scarf in my closet for a very long time and I never knew how to wear it or what to pair it with… The idea of making it a handbag accessories came to me recently after scrolling through Instagram and although it is far from being groundbreaking, it is something new to me.
The rest of the outfit is very simple and very me. Favourite pair of jeans and black coat you have seen on this blog before. The only new addition to the look is a grey cashmere-mix knit I have bought fairy recently. It has much more relaxed vibe to my usual choices but I liked it enough to try it and could not resist to take it home…
So that is what I wore last Sunday !!

It became a tradition now that every couple of seasons or so I give you an update of what is yet to come. I personally really like working on these posts as not only it gives me the knowledge on what trends are going to be popular but it also allows me to look at my closet and reflect on what I need to update.
I am not huge on trends but I like to try something new from time to time. Maybe come out of my comfort zone and push the boundaries a little bit further. I will never be the most trend-lead person but I think adding your personal twist on what is ‘fashionable’ can be beneficial.
All of the trends featured below are available on high street as well as high-end. The ones I decided to featured are my personal favourites and the ones I would recommend to try but if you look deeper into the subject, there will be more options available out there.
Before I start, just a quick reminder… Personal style vary from individual to individual. Do not allow to be a ‘fashion victim’ and follow anything that is considered to be fashionable at this minute in time. Adding one or two of these trends maybe more that enough. An individual is so much more that the clothing that she or he is wearing so stay true to who you are !
- Pastels or ice cream colours
It will come as no surprise as pastels come back into fashion every spring or summer. This year they come back with a twist in a form of ice cream colours. My personal favourite would have to be creams and blues. But if you are more brave why not to try yellows, pistachio or lilac colours ?
I love the idea of wearing the trench coat all the time as outerwear or as a dress. The colour and the fit are personal preferences and finding something that suit your style should not be very difficult as there are so many options available. My suggestion would be to invest in fit and the fabric that will last for a very long time.
Complete opposite to pastels but strong colours are here to stay. From reds and oranges to very popular bright pinks and yellows. It is not a trend for everyone but I think it can work if you do it right. I would suggest not to mix and stick to one statement shade. Or maybe adding brighter handbag or shoes would be enough ?
Buying a pencil skirt that fits and make you feel comfortable can be tricky and the next two seasons will feature a lot of them. I personally love a good pencil skirt and if I was looking for one, I would choose the fabric very carefully. My top choices would be tweet or wool as they are classic fabrics that will come back into fashion sooner or later !
You may have already notice from the choice of skirts feature above but check is going to be huge. From blazers to trousers and coats. Choices and combinations are endless and absolutely up to you. I have warmed up to the idea of checked blazer lately and I am going to invest in another one in the coming months.
This will be probably the trend that would be the most difficult to incorporate in everyday life without making it look cheap and tacky but fringing and feathers are going to be very hot. I completely agree that is not for everybody so start small and add just a detail- pair of shoes or statement earings.
Without a shadow of a doubt it is a trend that comes to me naturally. I love the idea of wearing a pair of white sneakers with any pieces of clothing I can think of from jeans and trousers to skirts and dresses. If I was to invest in one thing out of this post it would definitely be a pair of shiny new shoes. What about you ?
Let me know which of the trends featured above are you interested in and which are you going to miss out on ?
I love doing the trends post and I hope that it shows !
As usual, thank you very much for stopping by and I hope to see you soon…
I rarely do romantic outfits mainly because I prefer more masculine clothing and that style comes much more naturally to me. But somehow I felt like wearing something different for this outgoing. Simple dress although black with floral print paired with my favourite high-heeled boots was a match made in heaven.
To stay true to myself, I added this military-style coat that is probably my most loved and most worn high-street purchase that I have ever made. I bought it well over a year ago and wore it on repeat since (more outfit ideas featuring this particular coat available here and here).
Classic Chanel flap bag is always a good idea and although I do not feature this bag a lot on my blog, it was for a very long time my biggest purchase ever. As it is a seasonal bag, I did manage to stay within my financial boundaries but the decision to pull the trigger and buy it, was not an easy one. Investing you hard-earned cash in accessories and shoes can be daunting and I will do my best to feature some of my suggestions in the coming posts !
So that is what I wore Sunday (romantic style) !

Thank you very much for yet another Sunday !
I love sharing my outfit ideas with you all and I hope you like it too…
This year birthday celebration was particularly special. Not only it was my birthday last week, but also it is a year today since I published my first post. So may things happened in the past twelve months that I cannot stop feeling and expressing the gratitude towards my nearest and dearest as well as all of my friends and colleagues.
The biggest lesson I have learnt so far is to not to be afraid to pursue my dreams and take actions. Nothing will happen just by hoping that it will happen. Life is too short to regret not taking opportunities and dwell on the negatives. And one more thing that I incorporated in my life… never envy, take inspirations instead !
For my birthday celebration I wore very simple (nearly all black) outfit. I am going through a phase of wearing all black and I have to admit that I enjoy it very much. I have added a deep green dress to the look to make it more vibrant and colourful. As it is a wool dress it does creases very easily so apologies for that…
You will know by now that I love a statement lipstick and this deep red is my colour of choice. I am very tempted to try more statement shades so watch this space !
That is what I wore Sunday (birthday style)…

As I treat this blog as a form of a diary, my original intention was to do it for one year only. I am considering my options but nevertheless thank you very much for sticking up with me for the last twelve months and your constant support and encouragement !
I have visited Amsterdam before but somehow I feel that this time I have truly managed to fall in love with the city and appreciate it more than I did in the past. There are so many things to see there that spending just few days exploring will not give it justice… But let’s start from the beginning, take you along and show you my favourite places !
We have started the day by strolling from our hotel to the city centre taking lots of pictures on a way. Documenting everything like this became a habit of mine and I find it incredibly difficult to resist taking yet another picture…
Our first stop was a visit to a famous Rijks Museum. The museum was closed last time we visited the city so it was a must on our list of things to do !
We decided to go for a guided tour and I have absolutely no regrets. The museum is so vast that finding certain paintings would take hours and with the guide at our disposal we had the chance to see everything we wanted in a short space of time.
If you ever have the chance to visit this amazing collection of Dutch art I would also suggest to check out the cafeteria located at the entrance to the museum. It is architectural stunning with service and food to die for !
Another stop on our way through Amsterdam was flower market. Although I had high hopes of seeing sea of tulips I have to admit that I was left disappointed. Not as big and splendid as I expected but still worth a visit but mainly during April !
Amsterdam is such a nice city to explore by foot as every corner is just picture perfect ! Bicycles and their owners are everywhere but with a little determination one can easily get use to that. But be careful as some cyclist are pretty fast !
The very last stop during our day in Amsterdam was a Louis Vuitton trunks exhibition. There no words to describe how much I loved it and how much would I recommend to check it out. Being a fan of the brand for quite some time now, I rediscovered it from a completely different angle.
If you are interested in our Amsterdam adventure, come and have a look at the vlog available on my channel and here. I really hope you will enjoy watching it as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.
Thank you very much for stopping by and checking out my blog !
Next time I am taking you for a very special birthday celebrations…
I had a pleasure of spending last weekend in Amsterdam and I will be more than happy to share details of our trip in the coming posts. I loved every single minute of our adventure and I cannot imagine more picturesque city to travel to…
The photos for today’s post were taken in Room Mate Aitana Hotel which I would highly recommend for its design, location and service. I also loved the big windows, very modern and clean deco as well as the view. It is a well-priced option if you want to stay central in comparison to other hotels.
As for the outfit itself, I went for a very minimalistic and slightly masculine look. Checked blazer, white t-shirt and skinny pair of jeans. I added my beloved bag and a statement pair of heels that in my opinion add a feminine touch to the look.
I am surprised myself how much I like what I wore. It is mainly due to the fact that I am not a blazer person. I had few in the past but always felt that they were too structured and not flattering on my body… Somehow this one is different. Much more loose-fitting, without shoulder pads, cut properly. The minute I have tried it on, I knew I would wear it non-stop !
So without further delay that is what I wore in Amsterdam !
Thank you so much for stopping by and for checking out what I have been up to !
