What I wore Sunday… one day in Berlin

I do not know if you like making lists but I personally do not… There are only few that I am happy to make and they are mostly travel-related. Going to Berlin, seeing Berlin Wall and getting the feel for the city was long time coming for me.

It took me by surprise how familiar Berlin felt, especially the east side where we stayed. Public transport, layout of the streets, blocks of flats reminded me of my hometown so much so that I was catching myself matching particular areas to the ones from my childhood in Poland.

Berlin Wall itself did not disappoint me and I know that I will visit it again at some point in my life. Being born in mid 80s Berlin Wall was and still is a symbol of better life and freedom, something that defines most of our pursuits.

For this What I wore Sunday I wanted to blend with the surroundings and I wanted to show you my favourite part of Berlin more that my outfit. It is very plain and minimalistic but it was perfect for the whole day of sightseeing.

Because I am showing you a lot of street art some of the images (one in particular…) maybe considered ‘inappropriate’. Please take it with a pinch of salt and enjoy the amazing East Side Gallery !

One day in Amsterdam

I have visited Amsterdam before but somehow I feel that this time I have truly managed to fall in love with the city and appreciate it more than I did in the past. There are so many things to see there that spending just few days exploring will not give it justice… But let’s start from the beginning, take you along and show you my favourite places !

We have started the day by strolling from our hotel to the city centre taking lots of pictures on a way. Documenting everything like this became a habit of mine and I find it incredibly difficult to resist taking yet another picture…

Our first stop was a visit to a famous Rijks Museum. The museum was closed last time we visited the city so it was a must on our list of things to do !

We decided to go for a guided tour and I have absolutely no regrets. The museum is so vast that finding certain paintings would take hours and with the guide at our disposal we had the chance to see everything we wanted in a short space of time.

If you ever have the chance to visit this amazing collection of Dutch art I would also suggest to check out the cafeteria located at the entrance to the museum. It is architectural stunning with service and food to die for !

Another stop on our way through Amsterdam was flower market. Although I had high hopes of seeing sea of tulips I have to admit that I was left disappointed. Not as big and splendid as I expected but still worth a visit but mainly during April !

Amsterdam is such a nice city to explore by foot as every corner is just picture perfect ! Bicycles and their owners are everywhere but with a little determination one can easily get use to that. But be careful as some cyclist are pretty fast !

The very last stop during our day in Amsterdam was a Louis Vuitton trunks exhibition. There no words to describe how much I loved it and how much would I recommend to check it out. Being a fan of the brand for quite some time now, I rediscovered it from a completely different angle.

If you are interested in our Amsterdam adventure, come and have a look at the vlog available on my channel and here. I really hope you will enjoy watching it as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.

Thank you very much for stopping by and checking out my blog !

Next time I am taking you for a very special birthday celebrations…

Forgotten Sri Lanka vlog

As you may remember, we have travelled to Sri Lanka for our wedding anniversary back in September. A lot of months have gone before I realised that I recorded our train journey from Galle to Colombo and I am thrilled to share that with you today.

Traveling by train in a foreign country can be challenging but Sri Lanka takes it to another level ! Language difference, heat, noise are only few of the obstacles on the way. All in all, the vlog will tell you the whole story of our journey and the challenges we have faced.

I hope you will like it, if so check out my other videos (available here).

Thank you very much for stopping by and hope to see you soon !

Brighton vlog

Today I have a pleasure of sharing my weekend away with you all ! We traveled to Brighton for few days and although the choice of the destination was quite an unusual one, I have no regrets.

Brighton is full of contrasts and as it is a seaside town, it has a lot features typical for that. I loved the old buildings and lots of tiny side streets along with the promenade and variety of cafes and bars. On the other hand, I have seen a lot of poverty and homelessness. First impressions are not always the right ones so I will let you decide for yourself !

Enjoy my vlog and if you liked it, check out my channel for more fashion, travel and beauty related content.

Let me know you thoughts as well as any recommendations and suggestions for more gateways ?

Thank you very much for stopping by.

Safari vlog

I am extremely excited to share this video with you as I was quite nervous editing it and making it work. I have little experience in putting vlogs together but when I start, I always choose music first. I get the impression that if the music works, everything else will follow and that is how I decided to approach this vlog…

I have already published a post detailing our safari trip and shared some beautiful pictures taken by my husband. If you are interested in checking that out, the link is available here.

Let me know what do you think ? Even if I could have done something better or different, I am more that happy to listen to your opinion.

As usual, do not forget to subscribe to my channel for more travel and fashion videos !!

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by,

Aggie xx

Sri Lanka safari

Taking part in a safari was one of the main reasons to visit Sri Lanka. From the beginning, I knew that I want to see the wildlife and be part of something that I have not had a chance to experience before.

We have chosen Udawalawe National Park for our safari for its fame of elephants. Seeing them live was one of my biggest dreams and I still feel the same level of excitement writing this post as I did when I was in the park.  Traveling in Sri Lanka is very tiring and takes time but if there is one thing that you should see visiting that country, it should be the safari.

Udawalawe National Park was created to provide shelter for wild animals back in 1972. It is most known for elephants as well as water birds and it is third most visited park in the whole of Sri Lanka.

We started our day by being picked up from our hotel about 10.30 am. As we were staying close to Galle, it took about three hours to get to the destination. From there, we moved vehicles and the real adventure began !!

The safari itself took about three hours and I cannot praise our tour guide enough. He was very informative and tried to show us as much as possible. Some of the animals we saw, were too quick-moving to be able to capture their images but I hope you will still be able to get the sense of experience and the beauty of the park.

The pictures that I am sharing with you, although beautiful do not give this park enough justice. I loved every single minute and I hope to repeat the experience in different parts of the world in the near future.

I will have a vlog coming your way very soon, featuring the whole day on this amazing safari so stay tuned for that !

Thank you very much for reading and stopping by !!
