Five red lipsticks worth buying…

My red lipstick love affair started about two years ago. When I bought my first one, I was not sure if I am going to wear it and what I going to pair it with. But somehow after trying it once and then twice, I have fallen in love in how it makes me feel and how much more confident I am with red lips.

Over the last year or so, I have tested number of lipsticks with different finish and from different beauty brands and I am thrilled to show you my favourite five. To accompany this post I have done a video on my channel with all the details and information you may need.

I will be showing you my favourites in the price order starting from the cheapest to the most expensive as well as featuring a picture of me wearing the lipstick so hopefully you will be able to tell the difference !

So let’s begin…

It was my first ever red lipstick and I could not have asked for a better recommendation. It is a very matte lipstick that will last all day long. Colour and overall wear is comfortable but it may dry your lips if worn all day, every day. However, it is one of my favourites that I keep going back to !

One of the classics that is well worth trying. It is a very deep red lipstick with matte finish that wears really well in my opinion. It is not as long-lasting as the Sephora one but it will not dry your lips as much so you have to decide what is your priority. All in all, I would highly recommend to try this one as it is a winner in my eyes.

Probably my most used and loved lipstick. I wore it non-stop for quite a few months. It has a matte finish but it is non-drying or sticky and stays in place all day long. Everything about this lipstick is first class and I cannot praise it enough.

This lipstick has the most amazing packaging with huge attention to detail. But what is inside matters and it is pretty stunning as well. The finish of this lipstick is satin and the intensity of colour second to none. It is a pricy one but the quality you get for your money makes up for that in my opinion.

This one is the most expensive of the bunch and the most hyped up at the same time. It comes in a stunning and very minimalist packaging and the content does not disappoint as well. It is a satin finish and the colour itself is very rich and maybe on a slightly darker side. As it is satin finish, staying power is more limited but still fairly long-lasting. A clear choice if you are after some indulgence !

That is my five favourite red lipstick !

Let me know if I missed anything and if there are any others I need to try ?

Thank you very much for stopping by…

What I wore Sunday… birthday celebration

This year birthday celebration was particularly special. Not only it was my birthday last week, but also it is a year today since I published my first post. So may things happened in the past twelve months that I cannot stop feeling and expressing the gratitude towards my nearest and dearest as well as all of my friends and colleagues.

The biggest lesson I have learnt so far is to not to be afraid to pursue my dreams and take actions. Nothing will happen just by hoping that it will happen. Life is too short to regret not taking opportunities and dwell on the negatives. And one more thing that I incorporated in my life… never envy, take inspirations instead !

For my birthday celebration I wore very simple (nearly all black) outfit. I am going through a phase of wearing all black and I have to admit that I enjoy it very much. I have added a deep green dress to the look to make it more vibrant and colourful. As it is a wool dress it does creases very easily so apologies for that…

You will know by now that I love a statement lipstick and this deep red is my colour of choice. I am very tempted to try more statement shades so watch this space !

That is what I wore Sunday (birthday style)…

As I treat this blog as a form of a diary, my original intention was to do it for one year only. I am considering my options but nevertheless thank you very much for sticking up with me for the last twelve months and your constant support and encouragement !

January

January as always is a new start for me and this year was no exception. It was a busy and  memorable month but I have managed to achieve some of my goals and work on my physical and mental health. The highlight from January would have to be a trip to Amsterdam and I promise to share more on the subject in the coming weeks !

You may remember that I made a resolution to travel more in 2018 and I am making small changes to keep that alive. Once every month or two I want to be able to see something different and change the scenery even if only for the weekend…

My YouTube channel have been growing lately and I am surprise how many views from all over the world I started to attract. It is a work in progress but I am thrilled to be able to share my likes and dislikes as well as fashion and beauty inspirations. These views are keeping me going and motivate me further to make my content as good as possible !

My latest video is all about luxury buys that I made in 2017 worth investing in… (blog post on the same subject available here).

I have been loving few things in January and this & Other Stories coat would be my absolute number one. I have been wearing it on repeat and although it is much more masculine in style than my usual choice, I absolutely adore it.

Another of my absolute favourites for January would be this lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury.  I love everything about it from durability to the intensity of the colour. It is on a pricy side but if it was only one thing you are willing to try from Charlotte Tilbury I would say it has to be this one !

The most popular post in January came as a surprise to me…You loved December and Favourite pair of boots ! The one you liked and checked out the least was an outfit post (available here) in my opinion worth having a look !

What was your January like ?

I would love to know !

Thank you very much for stopping by and I hope to see you all very soon…

What I wore Sunday… night out

I am not a party animal. I like to go out from time to time but dancing till sun rise is not something I am going to even attempt ! Christmas time in UK is full of parties and gatherings and I thought it will be a good idea to show you what I like to wear on those occasions.

Lately, I have been wearing a lot of black. It is my comfort colour and somehow makes me feel safe. Putting this outfit together took me less than five minutes but I like it very much. It is different textures and fabrics that makes it work in my opinion. It is not the warmest of outfits (to say the least, especially as it was snowing…) but as I meant to be indoors I think it works fine.

This leather skirt is from Whistles and I bought it during Black Friday sales. It is quite an adventurous buy for me but so far so good. I love the quality of the finish and how flattering it is. My only advise if you want to buy any leather items (jackets, skirts, trousers etc.) is to always downsize. The leather will stretch significantly over time so going one or two sizes down is a must.

That is what I wore this Christmas party Sunday !
