July

It feels like forever since I have done my end of the month post. I have missed June, mostly due to traveling and work but I am glad that I am back this month.

July has been hot and for the first time since moving to UK, it feels like proper summer. You will not believe how happy I am that I can finally wear my lighter clothing and enjoy the sun.

You may know that I had a chance to visit Berlin last month and it was a dream come true for me. I had it on my wish list for a very long time and I can honestly say that Berlin feels like home. The language and the culture maybe different but the layout of the streets, the trams, the bus stops and mostly the tower blocks reminded me very much of my home town…

If you are interested in that trip, there is a Berlin vlog on my channel that hopeful will give you better view of this amazing city.

Due to work commitments, I had less time for the blog and I have not done as many posts as maybe I would like to. I still have many ideas for the future so stay tuned for that !

If there is one item of clothing I have been loving in July, it would have to be a white dress. It is not anything new or ground-breaking but white dress is so summer appropriate and makes me feel dressed well no matter the occasion.

For more white dresses ideas check out posts here and here.

August will be a very busy month but I am hoping to get some time off in September. I would love to hear your recommendations… where would you like me to travel next ?

Thank you very much for stopping by…

I hope that next month will be even better !

May

May came and gone like most of the months this year. I have been occupied with various projects both work and personal life related. Although I am very happy I have the opportunity to experience so many things, I am getting to the point where I just want to rest and switch off.

Waiting and planning for the coming holidays (that are still a long way to go) is something that gives me equal pleasure of actually going on one. Building up the expectation, looking at budgets and variety of accommodation options is so satisfying for me. Are you the same ?

Your favourite post of last month was a summary of what I have been doing in April (available here if you missed it). I am very happy that you are enjoying my monthly summaries as these post give me a great opportunity to look back at different things and reflect.

If I was to choose my favourite post, it would be a look featuring the most unusual for me skirt (available here). The only thing I am going to say about it is to never say ever as the life goes on and things change !

May have been a good month when it comes to movies for me. I went to the cinema on number on occasions and out of everything I watched, I would highly recommend seeing Tully if you have not watched it already. Motherhood is not something that I know anything of, however honesty and openness is always a key to me and this movie gives you just that.

Another thing I have been enjoying in May is warmer weather. UK is not the best of places (especially North of England) if you are after proper summer. Having said that we had nice few weeks and I had a change to wear something more time of the year appropriate !

Ps. An amazing state house that you can see on the featured image can be found here if you are interested. Unfortunately, it is not my house… just in case you were wondering !

April

Last month has been a month of change for me. As I have mentioned at the beginning of April, I have recently changed my job and although I am still trying to find my feet I am embracing the opportunity I was given. Starting something new is always scary but at the end of the day we can only regret the things we did not do, not the things we tried and failed !

My fashion choices last month have been more dependent on weather than ever before. Spring has had much slower start than I expected and as I am writing this post it is still only about 10 degrees outside. My favourite outfit of last month would have to be this one featuring grey blazer and skinny jeans combination. Nothing too complicated but somehow it worked really well for me.

As for the outfit you liked the most, it came as no surprise to me as I knew it will be a winner. My husband’s birthday look (available here) was you favourite and I have to admit that I liked it too !

As my time in April has been very limited, I did some shopping but I learned to appreciate and be happy with the things I already own. I did a video featuring all my loved items for last month (available here) if you are interested.

My favourite beauty product of April have been this body scrub by Jo Malone. Pricy but well-worth the money in my opinion. It leaves your skin soft and smooth without taking any moisture out. It has the most amazing scent that is so refreshing and natural at the same time. A clear winner for me !

How was you month like ?

Anything you loved and would recommend for me to try ?

As usual, thank you very much for stopping by and checking out this post.

March

Last month has been the busiest month for a very long time… Both at work and in my personal life constant changes and expectations made the last thirty-one days gone with the wind. I do not share my professional life on my blog as I like to keep those two things completely separate but I can tell you that I have just started a new job and although it is something that would give me a lot of development opportunities, it is new and quite scary at this point in time !

The highlight of March would have to be my visit to Poland. I have managed to go just for few days to see my family and as I do not get to see them as often as I would like, it was something that I am going to treasure for a very long time.

I could spend all day long taking pictures of those drawings… I do not remember them from when I lived in my home city but I absolutely love them !

Blog post that you liked the most in March was from the beginning of the month and it featured one of my favourite trench coats (still available here if you missed it). All the pictures for that post were taken in such a short space of time but they remain my personal favourites as well. Morning light is everything and more I could have asked for…

There have been quite a few things that I have been loving lately from skincare and make up to fashion. Moving forward I have decided to do monthly favourites on my YouTube channel and March edition is available here if you are interested…

February

February is usually my most favourite month of the year but this year I think I would call it the worst… I do not like to dwell on negatives and I try to focus on good staff but every now and again I have my ups and downs. Part of my life you see on this blog is very fashion and lifestyle based and I try to show you the best and most interesting things that are happening in my life. The other part tends to be hectic as well as difficult and at times like every human, I have my problems…

Story by Aggie 23

Moving on from that I did managed to publish quite a few posts in February and got even more work done and pictures coming in the future weeks. The post I liked the most was trend related and I would recommend it check it out if you have not had a chance yet (available here). As I get a lot of questions about handbags, how to start the collection and where to invest you money, I am thinking of doing a comprehensive post listing all the does and don’ts. Let me know if it is something you would be interested in ?

My favourite outfit of the month would have to go the most recent one (available here if you want to check it out). I love the relaxed vibe of the look and just being comfortable in what I am wearing. Plus the scarf adds that something different that I have not tried before !

My favourite(s) of last month would have to go to beauty products. I have been pretty minimalistic with my fashion purchases and somehow concentrated on beauty more that ever before. I have been loving most of the products I tried in particular these two…

Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay

I feel like I quite late to the party as both of these have a cult status but sometimes it takes me longer to buy into idea of needing to own certain things. But without the shadow of the doubt they are worth the money and I have been using them daily.

As for my resolution to travel somewhere different every month, it looks like I failed completely this month. It was too busy both at work and in my personal life and unfortunately I had to stay home. However, it looks like I have one very unexpected trip coming up in March so stay tuned for that !

How was your month like ? I would love to hear from you !

As usual thank you very much for stopping by and I hope to see you soon !

November

November is one of my least favourite months. Cannot really explain why but somehow it feels gloomy and brings up bad memories. Last year my husband had serious accident this time of the year and it took him well over six months to recover.

This year November was different and it brought some changes both in our professional and private life which I am looking forward to embracing. The weather have been pretty mild and I had not had a chance to catch a cold (yet !). We also had our first snow in UK which made me feel a little bit more festive.

Last month was a month of spending… Right or wrong I have made few purchases that I will be able to share with you all in the near future. Season of sales, Black Friday and Cyber Monday is not something I go crazy about but somehow I felt that I needed to add some essentials to my wardrobe !

Most loved item‘ title would have to go to this Acne Studios scarf. It is the softest and warmest of scarves and the quality is to die for. I like the shade of grey as well, not too light not too dark.

Second of the items I have been loving this month is the pair of sneakers by Isabel Marant you may have already seen here and here. They are not new, I got them last year but somehow only this autumn I have learnt to love them. They are super comfortable, well-made and add a little bit of edge to my outfits.

Blog has been doing very well last month and there were number of posts you really liked. Gifts ideas for her and him ended up on the top of your favourites. They were quite tricky to prepare so I am happy that you checked them out and enjoyed my suggestions.

The blog post that you liked the least was vlog from Brighton (available here if you are interested). I personally really like this post as it brings back positive memories but I agree if may not be for everyone.

One thing that I have missed in November is going for a walk. With so many nice villages  around where I live I should definitely do it more often than I do !

In December I am looking forward to some family time as well as documenting first Christmas on the blog. I cannot wait to share some of my Christmas traditions with you all and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

I have four different videos in a making on my YouTube channel (one of which is an incredible train ride from Sri Lanka…) so stay tune for that and do not forget to subscribe.

August

I feel like August was a good month for me. Not everything I set to achieve happened but that is what life is all about. Expecting unexpected is something that I always keep in mind !

What August has taught me is to stand my ground and believe in myself more. Self-confidence is something that I have to work on constantly with some days being better than the others but I think I am winning xx

Fashion-wise it was a very adventurous month. I made few purchases, some of which you may had a chance to see on the blog or my Instagram account.

My favourite new thing would have to be a pair of espadrilles from Castaner (first shown here). They are the most classic pair, exceptionally made and they will stay in my closet for a very long time !

Story by Aggie 22

Another thing worth mentioning is this Zara set, I got at the end of the month. I was eyeing this knit from the moment I first saw it but the shirt was a total surprise. I am not a huge fan of the prints, especially 70s inspired but somehow I could stop myself from trying it on. The end result is quite obvious on this picture !

Statistic-wise two most popular blog posts of last month would be from What I wore Sunday series Country life is never boring followed closely by Hollywood glamour. Interestingly, my personal favourite would be the end of the month for July. Looking back on the last thirty days, gives me sense of satisfaction and achievement.

I have also added an additional feature to my blog. It is called Shop my closet and you can find it in the main panel next to menu and contact links. I will try to list all my new finds as well as some timeless pieces from my wardrobe in case you are interested !!

Finally, I am really looking forward to September. The beginning of a new season as well as my wedding anniversary makes that month really special. I have one or two things planned that will come as a surprise so stay tuned for that !!
