What I wore Sunday… best of the high street

Shopping on the high street can be a very good experience, not only because items are generally more affordable but also due to some amazing quality finds. There are a lot of pieces that are not worth your time and money but if you look a little bit deeper, you will find some treasures.

The dress shown today is from H&M and it comes from collaboration between the clothing giant and the fabric designer GP & J Baker. They are famous for their prints and with more than 100 years of tradition, the collection does not disappoint.

When I saw this dress first, I was not sure if the style was something that would suit me but when I tried it I knew instantly that I love it. Wrap dress as a style is completely new to me but with this dress being such a hit, I will shop it in the future.

The rest of the outfit is nothing that you have not seen before. My trusted pair of sandals and a cross-body bag that goes well with most of my outfits.

So that is all I wore last Sunday !

What I wore Sunday… 2017

I have been thinking for some time of how I can show you all the looks from last year in one place. After careful consideration, I have decided to combine them altogether and then split them individually into months.

Looking through the pictures of What I wore Sunday gives me huge amount of satisfaction and pride that I made it work and week after week managed to publish new look. Not all of them make me go wow, but I have learnt a lot along the way of what looks good and what not.

Taking pictures and then editing and choosing the best ones (in my opinion) is time-consuming process. Some weeks I have a couple of hours to finish it all so being perfectionist at heart, I have issues compromising. Having said that, I am happy with everything I have done so far and can confirm none of the pictures have been ever photoshopped or filtered in any way.

So that is what I wore Sundays 2017…

What I wore Sunday… metallic obsession

I have been desperately looking for a metallic, pleated skirt in dirty silver colour. As I could not find anything exactly to my taste on a reasonable budget and as I was not prepared to spend my holiday allowance on this skirt I had to make some compromises. When I saw this one in the beautiful, deep green colour I knew this is the one… I have not seen anything like this before and I hope to make a staple in my wardrobe !

I have pair this skirt with my current favourite denim skirt and my must have flats and handbag. The combination maybe something I have not tried before but I felt really good wearing it and I think it works.

We have found this warehouses on the outskirts of Sheffield. I have discovered them some time ago when trying to find my way home and I truly loved this setting.

So without further delay that is what I wore Sunday !

And a little something extra… We have been playing with the camera and although it was proven more difficult than one may think that is the result…

What I wore Sunday plus birthday celebrations !

My husband has been celebrating his birthday last week and that has prompted me to take that dress out of the closet. It is without a shadow of a doubt my favourite item of clothing. It is extremely well-made, fits me perfect and has that something special about it. I bought it about two years ago before Self-Portrait popularity. It was fairly new brand at the time with great potential. It has not disappointed me both the dress and the brand… They have been delivering gorgeous items with characteristic lace and very good quality, heavy fabric.

This particular dress is sold out long time ago but there are many similar ones I would love to add to my collection like here, here and here.

Self-Portrait is a pricy brand but in my opinion worth every penny. Their dresses, jumpsuits, blouses are timeless so much so that I have invested in more items from them and I will share that with You when the time comes !

The rest of the outfit is just couple of accessories. My trusted pair of heels You have already seen in here and new bag I have shared with You here

Without any hesitation these pictures are my absolute favourites so far. I love the combination of lilac and grey and beautiful marina as a background.

Please give it thumbs up if You like it too !!
