Despite a common belief, I am a fairly lazy dresser. I do not like to get ready for too long and I try to make quick decisions when it comes to my clothing. And this outfit is a perfect example of that attitude.
You will not believe how long I wanted this top for. When I saw it initially, it was a love at first sight. But as much as I liked to buy it, I knew that I cannot spent a fortune on a top that I would wear only a handful of times. I ended up admiring this top for about two years until I finally managed to find it on sale ! It was reduced over 70 % with only one left in my size… I knew that it was now or never !
I have built my outfit for this outgoing around this top. It is such a statement piece that you truly need very little to make it stand out. Skinny jeans, neutral bag and a pair of my favourite heels was all I could come up with and I have to say I am quite happy with the end result.
That is what I wore (going out) Sunday !

Thank you very much for stopping by and please let me know what are you up to ?
I had a pleasure of spending last weekend in Amsterdam and I will be more than happy to share details of our trip in the coming posts. I loved every single minute of our adventure and I cannot imagine more picturesque city to travel to…
The photos for today’s post were taken in Room Mate Aitana Hotel which I would highly recommend for its design, location and service. I also loved the big windows, very modern and clean deco as well as the view. It is a well-priced option if you want to stay central in comparison to other hotels.
As for the outfit itself, I went for a very minimalistic and slightly masculine look. Checked blazer, white t-shirt and skinny pair of jeans. I added my beloved bag and a statement pair of heels that in my opinion add a feminine touch to the look.
I am surprised myself how much I like what I wore. It is mainly due to the fact that I am not a blazer person. I had few in the past but always felt that they were too structured and not flattering on my body… Somehow this one is different. Much more loose-fitting, without shoulder pads, cut properly. The minute I have tried it on, I knew I would wear it non-stop !
So without further delay that is what I wore in Amsterdam !
Thank you so much for stopping by and for checking out what I have been up to !
As You know from my previous post, I had a pleasure of visiting Cambridge last weekend. It was a really good trip and we mixed pleasure with work and took some pictures for my blog.
The outfit in question was put together in reference to my Trends March 2017 blog post.
I wanted to feature both sleeve detail and logo t-shirt to show You how things can be mixed and matched. Khaki seems to be a colour of choice for this season and together with ruffles on the sleeves this jacket is a perfect combination. I bought it from Zara as it was too difficult to resist and I have no regrets. The quality of the material is exceptional and I know it will be a staple in my wardrobe for many years to come.
The t-shirt that I am wearing is from Kenzo and I got it about two years ago. I love the fabric and how durable it is. It was definitely a good investment and again no regrets.
As for the rest of the outfit.. Trousers are from Belstaff (the brand I have not tried on before). They are very thick, waxed pair of jeans with interesting cuts in all the right places. They are also surprisingly comfortable and I would happily wear them all day long. Handbag and shoes are my long-time companions. I have always wanted a pair of Alaia sandals and never in my life I expected to own a pair..
I hope You will all enjoy the pictures and get some outfit inspirations. I wished we could take the pictures on much more sunny day but as I am UK-based the weather is not always picture-friendly !
