What I wore Sunday… hola Barcelona !!

Barcelona has been a surprising experience for me. It is bigger, more noisy and prettier than expected. Nearly ever corner is just picture perfect and the views are to die for !

We stayed in Yurbban Passage Hotel and I would recommend it without the doubt. It has an amazing terrace with the fantastic pool, the rooms are very comfortable and the location is very central without being on a noisy road. It is also fairly close to one of my favourite streets in Barcelona Passeig de Gracia. Known for its famous buildings, it is also a home to some awesome shops if you are looking for a spot for some retail therapy…

As for the outfit of the day, it was simple but I loved how it felt and wore. Neutral colours and more statement top that I managed to get on massive discount (!) went perfect with white sneakers and classic pair of jeans. As it was the middle of the winter, I could not believe how warm and sunny Barcelona was !

So without further delay that is what I wore last Sunday !

What I wore Sunday… Happy New Year !!

I have been keeping quiet for the last few months due to work and other life commitments. Having said that I missed taking pictures and coming out with new outfit ideas so much so that I decided to come back !

The beginning of the year provides the ideal opportunity for new and maybe fresher start. No unrealistic resolutions for me though just enjoying what I am doing and simply being happy. It is easier said than done but I am determined to give it a go !

As for the outfit that you see today, it is all about simplicity. My favourite colour palette, classic patterns and accessories that last more than season or two. Greys and blues are written all over me and I just feel the most comfortable wearing them.

The only new item of clothing for this post is this amazing Zara coat. I saw it when I went to the shops couple of days before and I just could not resist. It is probably the most muscular of coats I own but as it was the love of first sight, I had to have it…

So that is what I wore Sunday !

What I wore Sunday… colours of autumn

Autumn seems to be a favourite season of most people and I am no exception. I love the leaves and their change in colours and something about cosy nights in. I love the knitwear, scarfs and the chance to change my wardrobe and go back to the things I loved so much last year.

Surprisingly, despite late October it still feels fairly warm where I live. I have not worn a single coat yet and may leave it until November. So today’s outfit is not particularly season focused, it is something I feel comfortable wearing all year round. Leather jacket and a pair of skinny jeans are just easy to dress up or down and something that I relay on a lot. Adding my favourite pair of sneakers and slouchy knit and I am ready to go !

If there was only one item of clothing, I would recommend to get for autumn it would be a classic knit. It can be colour and style of your choice, made out of quality fabric that will last season after season. The excitement of taking it out and wearing it again after the summer will make it even more special next year.

So that is what I wore this autumnal Sunday !

What I wore Sunday… minimum effort, maximum impact

Despite a common belief, I am a fairly lazy dresser. I do not like to get ready for too long and I try to make quick decisions when it comes to my clothing. And this outfit is a perfect example of that attitude.

You will not believe how long I wanted this top for. When I saw it initially, it was a love at first sight. But as much as I liked to buy it, I knew that I cannot spent a fortune on a top that I would wear only a handful of times. I ended up admiring this top for about two years until I finally managed to find it on sale ! It was reduced over 70 % with only one left in my size… I knew that it was now or never !

I have built my outfit for this outgoing around this top. It is such a statement piece that you truly need very little to make it stand out. Skinny jeans, neutral bag and a pair of my favourite heels was all I could come up with and I have to say I am quite happy with the end result.

That is what I wore (going out) Sunday !

What I wore Sunday… prints part 2

As you know from last week’s post prints are not my first choice when it comes to an outfit selection. However, every now and again I come across the piece that I just cannot resist. This is another skirt that stole my heart and I waited for nearly a year to share it with you.

I bought it from Zara and although it is quite difficult to style I knew I have to get it. It has a very unusual cut and in general is much bolder than my usual outfits. My skirt is sold out but I will do my best to find similar options available right now.

The rest of the outfit is minimal and all black. Good quality t-skirt, my favourite pair of sandals and a clutch bag that I wear on repeat. Investing in accessories that will stay with me for a very long time a key in my mind and I often resist buying things for one or two seasons.

Without further delay that is what I wore Sunday !

What I wore Sunday… my usual self

Some of my most comfortable outfit combinations come together by accident. I usually have a think about what I want to wear in advance but somehow when I go to the wardrobe I tend to change my mind.

This look is a perfect example of that. It is an effortless outfit that came together within minutes and I will repeatedly wear throughout Spring months. I love how neutral it is and how good it makes me feel.

The real star however is this blazer that you may remember from my previous post (available here). I got it on sale from H&M for less than ÂŁ10 after Christmas but somehow it s still available if you want to check it out… It is such a comfortable fit and style that I would recommend to have in your closet. As I am not really a blazer person, I am surprised myself how much I like it.

That is what I wore Sunday evening !

One day in Amsterdam

I have visited Amsterdam before but somehow I feel that this time I have truly managed to fall in love with the city and appreciate it more than I did in the past. There are so many things to see there that spending just few days exploring will not give it justice… But let’s start from the beginning, take you along and show you my favourite places !

We have started the day by strolling from our hotel to the city centre taking lots of pictures on a way. Documenting everything like this became a habit of mine and I find it incredibly difficult to resist taking yet another picture…

Our first stop was a visit to a famous Rijks Museum. The museum was closed last time we visited the city so it was a must on our list of things to do !

We decided to go for a guided tour and I have absolutely no regrets. The museum is so vast that finding certain paintings would take hours and with the guide at our disposal we had the chance to see everything we wanted in a short space of time.

If you ever have the chance to visit this amazing collection of Dutch art I would also suggest to check out the cafeteria located at the entrance to the museum. It is architectural stunning with service and food to die for !

Another stop on our way through Amsterdam was flower market. Although I had high hopes of seeing sea of tulips I have to admit that I was left disappointed. Not as big and splendid as I expected but still worth a visit but mainly during April !

Amsterdam is such a nice city to explore by foot as every corner is just picture perfect ! Bicycles and their owners are everywhere but with a little determination one can easily get use to that. But be careful as some cyclist are pretty fast !

The very last stop during our day in Amsterdam was a Louis Vuitton trunks exhibition. There no words to describe how much I loved it and how much would I recommend to check it out. Being a fan of the brand for quite some time now, I rediscovered it from a completely different angle.

If you are interested in our Amsterdam adventure, come and have a look at the vlog available on my channel and here. I really hope you will enjoy watching it as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.

Thank you very much for stopping by and checking out my blog !

Next time I am taking you for a very special birthday celebrations…
