Taking pictures for What I wore Sunday become a tradition in my household quite some time ago. Some Sundays documenting the outfit in a nearby location will take ten minutes, some if we travel would go on for a very long time. What they have all in common is the time me and my husband spent together.
Working full-time in completely different environments as well as activities outside of work keep us both very occupied. Spending time together and finding interest in each other’s life is something that can be very fragile. Pictures represent the memories and that is why I look forward to the next Sunday.
As for the outfit of the day, I went very casual and wore a very old trench coat which is just perfect for coming season. Trench coats are huge at the minute and I love this trend a lot (more on the coming trends available here). The rests of the outfit are staples in my closet: LV Neverfull bag and a pair of white Converse sneakers which are just a must for me. The whole look is simple and comfortable exactly how I like to dress.
That is what I wore this very Spring like Sunday !!

I hope that next week I will be able to show you equally Spring-like outfit as the weather has not been spoiling us lately…

My affair with London started more than a decade ago. I had a pleasure of getting to know the city in my early twenties, firstly as a holidaymaker and later as an exchanges student. I know that it is not a place where I could live on a daily basis but I enjoy coming back every few months to experience this cosmopolitan and fascinating city.
We have taken all the pictures for today’s post in Mayfair. It is one of the oldest and most well-known parts of the London and as I was surrounded by designer shops and boutiques it seemed like a perfect location.
London with its diversity is full of contrasts. Wealth and poverty are very close neighbours. I always felt (and still do) intimidated by opulence and luxury but somehow London takes it to another level. You can never be too overdress here… So for this afternoon outgoing I decided to wear something that will give me a confidence boost !!
This Maje dress is last season find that I have managed to get in Bicester Village. It is a very unusual print and length for me but I love it. I wanted to buy it last year, however, the price put me off number of times. I am glad that I have resisted the temptation as I manage to get it at almost 40 % in the outlet… The rest of the outfit is my staples that you have seen number of times. I am still in love with these sandals and I am determined to wear them as many ways as it is possible.
So that is what I wore Sunday !!

I hope you like this look as much as I do xx
Visiting London is always a pleasure and every time I manage to discover something new- restaurant, park, boutique shop or cafe.
Thank you very much for stopping by and see you all very soon !!
I have first noticed this graffiti when I was driving past it well over a week ago. At the time I did not know what was on it, all I have seen was how big it was. I instantly knew that I want to take some pictures there. When I have realised that is all about South Africa journey to freedom and human rights I could not be more happy as the subject is very close my heart.
I am fascinated by the story of Nelson Mandela and South Africa itself is on top spot for my travel destination. I really hope that I would be able to fulfil that dream in the near future !
As for the outfit is very simple. I wanted something that will make a statement but I wanted the background and the graffiti to be on first plan… Black and red seemed like a dream combination.
My dress is from my long-time favourite brand Maje. I bought it in Bicester Village about six months ago and I wore it on at least three or four different occasions. I love the simplicity of this cut and the detachable scalloped collar that adds that special something to this very plain outfit.
Maje is a French ready to wear brand that has been a long favourite of mine. Their dresses are very feminine and beautiful put together. Their cut suits me perfect and although their items are on the pricy side I think they are worth the investment as they will stay in your wardrobe for a very long time. I have another dress from that brand that I hope to share with you very soon.
So without further delay that is what I wore Sunday !!

I really hope that you like what you see and the simplicity of this outfit matches the expectations xx
I will see you all very soon !
As you may know I always publish my What I wore on a Sunday on a Sunday… But sometimes I have too may ideas in my head that I can not satisfy all my needs with only one look per week. When I bought this skirt, I knew instantly it is a winner. It fits me perfectly and although I wear more dresses than skirts it was definitely love at first sight.
It is by & Other Stories brand that I discovered at the end of last year. I love the quality of their clothing and very reasonable prices. Not everything will be my cup of tea, but it is without any doubt worth checking out. As I love this skirt so much, I thought I will style it twice for you. One of the looks will be shown today, the other one will be published on Sunday as a part of my What I wore Sunday cycle.
Beautiful bomber jacket that I am wearing in today’s post is by polish designer Lukasz Jemiol. I have bought it during my recent trip to Poland and I like it a lot. The quality of the finish is exceptional and the design is so unique. I will link the website of the designer here if anybody wants to check it out as all of the pieces are very wearable and of outstanding quality.
So without further delay that is what I wore on Saturday !

I have never really liked Sundays. I was always trying to enjoy them but the thought of a Monday and the tasks and responsibilities that are due have always put me down… Why am I telling You this ? Because most of my outfits pictures are taken on a Sunday.. I will always try to take then in advance but 9/10 it will be that day. So how quickly my approach has changed and now I am in fact excited for every new Sunday…
This particular Sunday when we took the pictures for this post I had clear vision of what I want to achieve. The outfit vibe was to be relaxed, dressed down but with a little bit of edge presenting coated jeans and my new accessory… But from time to time what You set to do and what You actually ended up doing are two different things. I would not have been honest if I said I do not like the pictures we took but they are far away from what I had in mind. The lighting was difficult, there were too many people walking about and the contrast of the shoes, my complexion and the jeans made it pretty difficult shoot..
What I am trying to show You is how to mix casual or everyday wardrobe with some key elements that each of us should have as a staple in Your closet. My coated jeans are defiantly one of mine.. I love them dressed down with a shirt and flats or something more dressy and pair of heels (like here). I have added a new handbag in my collection that I was dreaming of getting for a very long time. I love the colour, hardware and how versatile this bag is. It works perfectly for day and night and over time I will try to prove it !
Enjoy and let me know what if anything You consider a staple in Your closet ?

Since we moved to England I have been visiting York every couple of months. I love the cobble streets and the beauty of the city centre. Every corner is picture perfect and especially in spring York seems like a best weekend destination if You after a city break. There is so many cafes and restaurants with the easy reach that You are spoiled for choice.
As You know I have been embracing some of the new trends lately and when I saw this jumper I wanted to try it instantly. As I was not sure if it suitable for me I spent some time looking for alternatives and although I have managed to find some (here and here) there was always something that was holding me back.. I eventually decided to get it and I will try to style it for casual and work purposes so if I feature it again and again in here I have to apologise ! I am not an impulse buyer (maybe not any more..) and I take a lot of time to consider my purchases. I try to buy less but things that will stay in my closet for many years to come and will work for variety of occasions.
The skirt and handbag are very good examples of this. I bought this shirt about three years ago and although it is not the simplest of things to work with I am still standing by my purchase. It is from Karen Millen and I remember I bought in Manchester. I think I had a 20 or 25 % voucher when I got it and that helped me justify the cost ! I like to make my money going further and do my best to treasure every of my purchases.
I have added this beautiful pair of shoes for a little bit of colour in this monochrome outfit. Thy are perfect heel height and the colour is to die for. I would like to add another pair of suede heels to my collection maybe in hot pink or red but time will tell.
Enjoy and let me know what are You investing in this season ?
