What I wore Sunday… best of the high street

Shopping on the high street can be a very good experience, not only because items are generally more affordable but also due to some amazing quality finds. There are a lot of pieces that are not worth your time and money but if you look a little bit deeper, you will find some treasures.

The dress shown today is from H&M and it comes from collaboration between the clothing giant and the fabric designer GP & J Baker. They are famous for their prints and with more than 100 years of tradition, the collection does not disappoint.

When I saw this dress first, I was not sure if the style was something that would suit me but when I tried it I knew instantly that I love it. Wrap dress as a style is completely new to me but with this dress being such a hit, I will shop it in the future.

The rest of the outfit is nothing that you have not seen before. My trusted pair of sandals and a cross-body bag that goes well with most of my outfits.

So that is all I wore last Sunday !

What I wore Sunday… one day in Berlin

I do not know if you like making lists but I personally do not… There are only few that I am happy to make and they are mostly travel-related. Going to Berlin, seeing Berlin Wall and getting the feel for the city was long time coming for me.

It took me by surprise how familiar Berlin felt, especially the east side where we stayed. Public transport, layout of the streets, blocks of flats reminded me of my hometown so much so that I was catching myself matching particular areas to the ones from my childhood in Poland.

Berlin Wall itself did not disappoint me and I know that I will visit it again at some point in my life. Being born in mid 80s Berlin Wall was and still is a symbol of better life and freedom, something that defines most of our pursuits.

For this What I wore Sunday I wanted to blend with the surroundings and I wanted to show you my favourite part of Berlin more that my outfit. It is very plain and minimalistic but it was perfect for the whole day of sightseeing.

Because I am showing you a lot of street art some of the images (one in particular…) maybe considered ‘inappropriate’. Please take it with a pinch of salt and enjoy the amazing East Side Gallery !

What I wore Sunday… day in Siena

As you may know I have spent the last week in Italy. It was a dream come true for me as I only visited Italy once in my life a very long time ago… I enjoyed every minute of my Italian adventure and I promise to share more of that on my blog in the coming weeks.

Today I am taking you to Siena which is the place I have not visited before but I would highly recommended. It has unbelievable charm and very relaxed vibe with the fan-shaped square Piazza del Campo in the middle of it all that offers spectacular views of this medieval town. Every corner is just picture perfect and every building is decorated with beautiful and colourful doors and shutters. Piazza del Campo itself is considered one of the greatest medieval squares in the whole Europe !

I am not going to lie it was a very hot day. That was one of the reason why I decided to wear white dress and a hat which was a pretty accessory but most importantly it protected me from the immense heat and sun. This dress seemed to me like a perfect choice for sightseeing. It is smart but very comfortable. I got it in Reiss in York Outlet about two years ago and I wore it the day after my wedding. It has a huge sentimental value for me so I hope you will like it too !!

Siena has so much charm and beauty that and I really hope that I will be able to go back there one day in the very near future.

Be my guest and enjoy this truly spectacular Italian city !!

Currently wishing for…

I am a demanding person. I expect a lot from others but even more from myself. I never understood the fact that I cannot buy something that I really wanted and always found a (legal !!) way of getting my dream goods.

Over time I have learnt that material things are there to make us feel good and satisfy our emptiness in one way or the other but the real happiness can be found somewhere else… But I still get occasional cravings for luxury and today I decided to share with you what I am wishing for !

1. Gucci Marmont Velvet Mini Bag

I am not sure what it is about this bag I like so much but I am obsessed with it. The colour is so unusual and more statement that I have ever gone for. It is a small bag but seems spacious enough to keep all of my essentials like keys, phone, make up etc. I do not own anything made out of velvet so maybe that is the attraction ?

2. Sea NY Dress

I have first saw this dress on Tanya Burr channel and fell in love instantly ! Beautiful lace and the lightness of the fabric blowed me away. It is a very pricey piece of clothing and I am not sure if I am able to justify the cost so I am keeping my fingers crossed it will go on sale !

3. All Saints Papin Leather Jacket

Some items in your wardrobe will become staples that you cannot live without and that jacket will soon be mine ! It is a perfect combination between casual and everyday style and the quality of the finish is exceptional ! I know that the colour is not very summery but I just do not care…

4. NO 21 Bow Satin Slippers

I have no idea of how practical this purchase would be but when I saw these slippers I felt that I need them in my life. They are so unusual and such a statement piece. Pairing them with jeans and t-shirt seems like a match made in heaven… The price is silly to say the least but as it is a wish list I can include whatever I want !

5. Rose Golden Complete Brush Set by Zoeva

I have been obsessed with their brushes ever since I got one that is an essential in my make up bag. I am not sure if I need all of the brushes included in the set but as I find difficult to compromise on quality I would love to get them. It is spring Bank Holiday weekend in the UK and some of the retailers will give their shoppers 30 % off so maybe now is the time ?

That is all I have on my wish list at the minute… Am I missing anything ?

All of the items included in today’s post would be great to have but it is not the end of the world if I do not get them so take that list with the pinch of salt !

As usual many thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow for What I wore Sunday !!

Love,

Aggie xx
