What I wore Sunday… London calling

We made a tradition now to visit London every time we travel and to be completely honest I look forward to that as much as I do to our journeys. Visiting familiar places, going for coffee and just to soak in the atmosphere of London is giving me so much pleasure and enjoyment. I am a city girl at heart, I need to experience the hassle and bustle from time to time and those trips are giving me just that.

For that date lunch, I went for a very romantic look with a little bit of twist. I bought this dress few weeks ago as a complete spur of the moment. I was massively reduced and as I saw it before I could not resist. The colour is so unusual and the design and attention to details is right up my street.

Every time I go for a romantic look, I like to mess is up a little bit and add more masculine piece. This leather jacket was such as good investment and although you may have seen it before (here and here), I is a perfect match with the dress.

So that is what I wore (in London) on Sunday !

What I wore Sunday… afternoon in York

Out of all the UK cities, I think I visit York the most. There are many reasons for that but if I was to pick one it would be due to its charm and beauty. I love the tiny, cobbled streets and lots of boutique cafes and shops including my favourite brands like Kiehl’s, Jo Malone, Whistles or Mulberry.

We visited York during Bank Holiday weekend last week and it was full of people. The weather was fabulous and we decided to do exact opposite and rather than going into town, head to the canal and observe life from the distance. We had some luck as the sun came out and we managed to take these pictures, which are probably one of my favourites ever.

You may remember that I already wore this dress, quite some time ago when I was just starting my blogging adventure (check it out here). It is much more feminine and delicate that I would normally go for but somehow I like it like that. I pair it with my trusty bag that has been my favourite for some time now and really old espadrilles that I got in Spain about six years ago.

Without further delay that is what I wore that Sunday…

Date night

I am not a romantic person and my idea of the date night is staying at home and watching House of Cards with a cup of earl grey. However, from time to time it is nice to make an effort and dress in a more feminine way. I had a pleasure of staying overnight in Lincoln this weekend as a part of a treasure hunt (I will keep You updated on that..) and we decided to spend the evening in town.

I tried to keep my romantic spirit going by putting on this dress but wanted to add a twist with a military style coat. The dress is my newest purchase from Topshop– very delicate piece that will see You through the wedding season as well as those special occasions date nights.. The coat is a real treasure from Zara that looks like a million dollars, worth every penny I paid for it..

My shoes and handbag have been staple pieces in my wardrobe for some time. I got my handbag as a wedding gift from my awesome husband and shoes were the sale purchase. By creating this look I wanted to prove that high street has as much to offer as designers. The pieces can be equally beautiful and well-made. What matters is the quality of the material and how versatile they are.

I hope You will like what I put together.. please let me know !!

All the pictures are courtesy of my lovely husband.
