Barcelona has been a surprising experience for me. It is bigger, more noisy and prettier than expected. Nearly ever corner is just picture perfect and the views are to die for !
We stayed in Yurbban Passage Hotel and I would recommend it without the doubt. It has an amazing terrace with the fantastic pool, the rooms are very comfortable and the location is very central without being on a noisy road. It is also fairly close to one of my favourite streets in Barcelona Passeig de Gracia. Known for its famous buildings, it is also a home to some awesome shops if you are looking for a spot for some retail therapy…
As for the outfit of the day, it was simple but I loved how it felt and wore. Neutral colours and more statement top that I managed to get on massive discount (!) went perfect with white sneakers and classic pair of jeans. As it was the middle of the winter, I could not believe how warm and sunny Barcelona was !
So without further delay that is what I wore last Sunday !

Let me know if you have any questions in regards to Barcelona stay.
I hope to see you all soon,
I have been thinking for some time of how I can show you all the looks from last year in one place. After careful consideration, I have decided to combine them altogether and then split them individually into months.
Looking through the pictures of What I wore Sunday gives me huge amount of satisfaction and pride that I made it work and week after week managed to publish new look. Not all of them make me go wow, but I have learnt a lot along the way of what looks good and what not.
Taking pictures and then editing and choosing the best ones (in my opinion) is time-consuming process. Some weeks I have a couple of hours to finish it all so being perfectionist at heart, I have issues compromising. Having said that, I am happy with everything I have done so far and can confirm none of the pictures have been ever photoshopped or filtered in any way.
So that is what I wore Sundays 2017…
Thank you very much for being part of that journey and all of your views, likes and kind words !!
What was your favourite What I wore Sunday ? I would love to know…
Christmas time is a special time in my family. It is a religious celebration and it is time to spend with your nearest and dearest. I still remember that after Christmas Eve dinner me and my parents would go to church for midnight mass- something that I was looking forward more than you could imagine… Maybe it was a fact that I could stay up late or maybe it was the magic of this special period ?
Christmas gift were not as big and over the top as they are now as the focus on was on something else. My parents had limited means and I would not get more than few presents. They were always special though and I still remember most of them.
As an adult, I try to make and effort and every year I like to give something back to parents, my grandmother and my husband. But with my upbringing comes the modesty in how we celebrate. Less is more and even now, I would only buy one or two quite special gifts…
I like to dress for occasion and the outfit I am featuring today is something I would happily wear on a Christmas Day. It maybe a little bit formal, but I feel dressed appropriately. Most of the pieces have been in my possession for quite some time. The only new item is this stunning pair of shoes that I got during pre-Christmas sales. They are very statement and I hope to get the best use out of them !
So without further delay that is what I wore this Christmas Eve Sunday !

I would like take the opportunity and wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS !
I hope it will be a family time full of love, laughter and forgiveness. Charge your batteries and make real memories with your loved ones.
Few weeks ago I had a pleasure of doing a presentation that took place in the local university. As I have not been to campus since I finished my education quite a few years ago, the visit brought back all the memories. Some of them were good some not so good but it made me reflect of how far I have come since my graduation.
The outfit of the day is not the most glamorous but it is fairly practical. As the day was very cold and damp, I needed a hat and this one is my favourite. I wore my newest purchase which is also the warmest of knits I have. It is by French brand Sezane, my discovery of the year. I love the typical French vibe of their pieces and the quality is to die for.
I like fairly low-key make up. Smokey eyes and contouring is not something I will ever attempt… From time to time I like to spice thing up and add a pop of colour, hence my red lip. I am looking for a new red lipstick so if you have any recommendations, please let me know.

Wearing what I love to wear is not always possible. Work and weather determine most of the time what I choose on the daily basis. That is why when I get to wear something that I truly feel good at, I treasure that for a very long time.
This outfit is my comfy one. I felt very put together yet comfortable. As you may have realised I like block colours and simplicity most of the time. I will try to add a pop of colour every so often but stripes, odd shaping and mixing various styles is not something that feels like me.
Classic, single breasted wool coat is such a must that I feel very glad I got mine last season. It is warm enough to keep me cosy but stylish at the same time. I wear it most days and I strongly believe that this will continue until it gets really, really cold and starts to snow !!
A pair of shoes I have on maybe not to everybody’s taste. It took me quite a few months to find my way of wearing them that will suit my style. I knew I liked them on other people but somehow I could not rock them myself… They were definitely worth the wait and you will see them more often in the near future !!
So that is what I wore this Sunday…

As usual thank you very much for your visit and constant support !!
I will be back very soon with the new gift guide for him (gift guide for her available here).
Living in a countryside surrounded by pretty English villages was never my dream. I love big city and accessibility of modern culture, shops etc. But somehow over the years my priorities have changed and peace and quite is what I care for.
On this particular Sunday afternoon we went shopping and all the pictures for today’s post were taken after our trip to town. The village location for this shoot could not have been more perfect. I love the feel of this place so much so that every time I visit, I promise myself to come more often.
As for the outfit of the day, I could not resist wearing this coat from Zara, first shown here. The quality of the fabric is superb and as it is very oversized, you can fit quite a few layers underneath. I paired it with all black outfit and the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. They are my favourite work shoes and would recommend a pair of these to anyone. The ones shown here are by English brand Church’s. I got introduced to this brand quite some time ago now and without a shadow of a doubt I can say they are the best and most comfortable shoes you will ever get !
Without further delay that is what I wore (this sunny) Sunday !

Until next time,
September came and went like there was no tomorrow. I was a good month, but wish I celebrated and treasured every moment even more than I did as there was so many good ones…
The main focal point of September was our trip to Sri Lanka as well as our wedding anniversary. I tried to document as much as possible and I am planning on sharing more videos with you in the coming weeks. I did a lookbook this week on my YouTube channel showing what I have been wearing during our escape. Something new from me that I have not done ever before but putting it together gave me huge satisfaction and I hope you will like it too !!
Reflecting on my blog activity is always very interesting and this month came as a surprise to me. The post that you viewed and liked the most was What I wore Sunday… anniversary dinner followed closely by What I wore Sunday… afternoon in York.
The least popular was Sri Lanka safari which was one of my favourite posts to write and maybe something quite different and unexpected.
There were many things I loved in September but if I was asked to name a few it would have to be my black leather jacket and Panama style hat that you probably seen far too much !!

I have made one or two purchases lately and the one I would highly recommend is this denim shirt from Topshop. The quality is really good and it is such a versatile style that I am planning on styling over and over again !!
As usual thank you very much for reading and supporting me on my blog journey.
What was your September like ? Anything I have forgotten about ?
See you all very soon…
