I have been keeping quiet for the last few months due to work and other life commitments. Having said that I missed taking pictures and coming out with new outfit ideas so much so that I decided to come back !
The beginning of the year provides the ideal opportunity for new and maybe fresher start. No unrealistic resolutions for me though just enjoying what I am doing and simply being happy. It is easier said than done but I am determined to give it a go !
As for the outfit that you see today, it is all about simplicity. My favourite colour palette, classic patterns and accessories that last more than season or two. Greys and blues are written all over me and I just feel the most comfortable wearing them.
The only new item of clothing for this post is this amazing Zara coat. I saw it when I went to the shops couple of days before and I just could not resist. It is probably the most muscular of coats I own but as it was the love of first sight, I had to have it…
So that is what I wore Sunday !
Coat Zara (also very similar here)
Jumper Whistles (very old)
Jeans Paige (similar)
Boots Isabel Marant (similar)
All the best for the New Year to you all !!
I hope 2019 will be healthy, happy and the one to remember x
Thank you very much for stopping by and following my blog.
We have come back from our Greece trip quite some time ago but I did not have a chance to look at the pictures we have taken until now… Work, commitments, problems and my personal life gets the priority whether I like it or not.
Athens is a capital with a big C. It is noisy, crowded, vast and full of life. I do not think that any other city made such a mix impression on me. I loved the older part of the city, food and the history behind it. I disliked the noise, traffic and how chaotic it felt.
Despite of all of this, it is still a must visit place in my opinion. The whole Acropolis complex, Acropolis Museum, Plaka are just few things that you should not miss. And although I do not regret leaving the hustle and bustle of this lively city behind, I will always remember this trip.
The outfit of the day was made of my newest dress purchase that I have fallen in love the minute I saw it. It is by new to me brand Sea NY and although it is not the most practical of dresses I just cannot get enough of it.
All of the accessories shown today are well-loved by me and if you follow my blog for a while, they will come as a no surprise to you. Sunglasses and a hat are a must for me if I go to any hot countries. I never tan, always burn and I do not seem to handle direct sunlight particularly well…
So that is what I wore sunday (Athens edition) !
Dress Sea NY
Shoes Gianvito Rossi
Bag Cult Gaia
Hat Sensi Studio
I hoped you enjoyed traveling to Athens with me today and thank you very much for stopping by !!
As usual I hope to see you soon…
White dress is all I want to wear in the summer. It is not particularly ground-breaking but feels comfortable and appropriate for the time of the year. Every Spring-Summer I try to add one or two new white dresses to my collection. They have to be made out of natural fabrics and be versatile enough to wear season after season.
The one featured today is from last year (but still available) and you may remember it from this post. It feels very light and so comfortable that I could wear it non-stop. I have paired with slightly more ‘edgy’ for me accessories- statement pair of sunglasses and a new bag that you may have already spotted if you follow me on Instagram.
I wanted a Cult Gaia Ark bag ever since I first saw it last year but it was completely unavailable at the time due to high demand. I debated with myself for quite a few months this year if I want to add it to my collection and I have finally decided to take a plunge.
I cannot start to tell you how much I love it ! It is worth the money and so functional and comfortable despite how it looks… I know that there is quite a few ‘inspired’ versions on the market but I personally like to give the credit to the designer or a brand that came up with the idea.
So without further delay that is what I wore one very hot Sunday !
Shoes Gianvito Rossi
Bag Cult Gaia Ark (small)
I hope you have enjoyed today’s post and if so stay tuned for more style inspirations !
Thank you very much for stopping by !
This year birthday celebration was particularly special. Not only it was my birthday last week, but also it is a year today since I published my first post. So may things happened in the past twelve months that I cannot stop feeling and expressing the gratitude towards my nearest and dearest as well as all of my friends and colleagues.
The biggest lesson I have learnt so far is to not to be afraid to pursue my dreams and take actions. Nothing will happen just by hoping that it will happen. Life is too short to regret not taking opportunities and dwell on the negatives. And one more thing that I incorporated in my life… never envy, take inspirations instead !
For my birthday celebration I wore very simple (nearly all black) outfit. I am going through a phase of wearing all black and I have to admit that I enjoy it very much. I have added a deep green dress to the look to make it more vibrant and colourful. As it is a wool dress it does creases very easily so apologies for that…
You will know by now that I love a statement lipstick and this deep red is my colour of choice. I am very tempted to try more statement shades so watch this space !
That is what I wore Sunday (birthday style)…
Dress Cos (sold out but one I really like available here)
Boots Stuart Weitzman
As I treat this blog as a form of a diary, my original intention was to do it for one year only. I am considering my options but nevertheless thank you very much for sticking up with me for the last twelve months and your constant support and encouragement !
Inability to compromise when it comes to fashion buys, is deeply rooted in my nature. Once I discover something that will be a good addition to my closet, I find it extremely difficult to let the idea of buying the piece go… That was exactly what have happened when I discovered Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots !
They are without the shadow of the doubt the most expensive and the most extravagant purchase I have ever made but they are at the same time worth every single penny. As I was lucky enough to get the second pair of the same boot, this time in heeled version as a part of my Christmas present, I decided to film a video discussing their pros and cons as well as some styling ideas and my honest opinion of their usability and value for money.
I think that for all the fashion lovers out there, this video will be useful and will give you a better idea of what you can expect for your money. I have not been disappointed so far and I know that you will not be as well !!
Please let me know if you find this comparison useful and if it something you would like me include in the future schedule…
As usual thank you very much for stopping by and all your likes and comments !
I love to surprise my nearest and dearest with gifts and trips like this gateway which was a surprise to my husband. We have never been to Brighton and although initially, I have something different planned, I think that all in all it was a good choice.
If you follow my blog for a while, you will know that traveling is something that keeps me going. I love the idea of discovering new places and documenting it through my pictures, fashion diaries and most importantly memories.
This trip to Brighton ended up as surprise not only to husband but also myself. The city itself is so much different to what I expected. It has a strong bohemian vibe with huge diversity in its population and although architecture stunning, I thought it will be different…
As for the outfit of the day, I decided to mix trendy and casual and maybe show you slightly more relaxed me. You may remember this shirt from some time ago (here), this time styled with my favourite leather jacket and a pair of sneaker I just cannot stop wearing. The jumper I wore under the jacket is an excellent example of layering piece that will keep you comfortable yet put together and warm at the same time.
So that is what I wore Sunday (this time by the seaside) !!
Jacket AllSaints (similar)
Skirt & Other Stories
Sneakers Golden Goose
Hope you have enjoyed that trip to Brighton !!
Keep warm and stay tuned for the next post…
Living by the sea or river is quite new thing for me. I have not lived by the big water when I was growing up and I remember that every summer holiday we would go to the seaside to experience the beach, swim in the really cold Baltic sea and try fresh fish which was never my cup of tea…
Living on the island means that you are never too far away from a beach. Although I do not go to one weekly and the water is far to cold to swim in, I could say without the shadow of the doubt that I love my surroundings. I hope to be able to show you more of my favourite spots in the area in the coming weeks or months !
I have chosen my outfit only by comfort factors for this lazy Sunday afternoon. We had absolutely nothing planned. Just a walk, popping for a drink or two and enjoying the day. All of the items I was wearing have been in my closet for quite some time. Belstaff coated jeans are my long-time favourite and this simple yet unusual H&M blouse adds a little bit of put together yet relaxed vibe. The only pop of colour is my lipstick which every time I wear, I promise myself to do it more often as I like it so much.
So without further delay that is what I wore Sunday !!
Blouse H&M (sold out but I like this and this)
Flats Alexander McQueen (sold out)
