Living in a countryside surrounded by pretty English villages was never my dream. I love big city and accessibility of modern culture, shops etc. But somehow over the years my priorities have changed and peace and quite is what I care for.
On this particular Sunday afternoon we went shopping and all the pictures for today’s post were taken after our trip to town. The village location for this shoot could not have been more perfect. I love the feel of this place so much so that every time I visit, I promise myself to come more often.
As for the outfit of the day, I could not resist wearing this coat from Zara, first shown here. The quality of the fabric is superb and as it is very oversized, you can fit quite a few layers underneath. I paired it with all black outfit and the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. They are my favourite work shoes and would recommend a pair of these to anyone. The ones shown here are by English brand Church’s. I got introduced to this brand quite some time ago now and without a shadow of a doubt I can say they are the best and most comfortable shoes you will ever get !
Without further delay that is what I wore (this sunny) Sunday !
I always look forward to reflecting on what have happened in the last 30 days. I know that I have already mentioned this but it is so eye-opening process that helps me to prioritize and gives me the sense of achievement.
My professional life has been a centre of attention in October and whether right or wrong my priority on most days. Work-life balance is something that I struggle with and may need to address it in the near future.
As for my private life, the main highlight of the month would have to be our trip to Brighton. As my husband told me, it was a very original choice of destination but no regrets there… Seeing new places, taking everything in and memorizing is a real journey that I do not want to end.
The blog post you liked the most in October was beauty-related and can be found here if you missed it. The one you liked the least was a fairly recent style-related one, well-worth checking out in my opinion (available here).
I had a few fashion favourites lately, mostly clothing ones. To name just one or two, this coat from Zara is an absolute dream and the quality of the fabric is second to none. It reminds me of high-end giants coats like Joseph or MaxMara. Zara can be a difficult place to shop as the quality vary from item to item. That is why, I like to visit the store and get the feel of the item before buying anything.
Another piece of clothing I have been wearing non-stop since I got it, is this silk shirt from & Other Stories. The fabric is very delicate, more spring appropriate but the way this shirt makes me feel is supper cosy and comfortable. It is a trusty staple that will stay in my closet for a very long time !
Finally, I decided to develop my YouTube channel further and as a result I will try to publish at least one video a week. Creating videos is definitely more demanding than anything else I have tried before but the more I do it, the more pleasure and satisfaction I get out of it.
Thank you very much for stopping by and I hope to hear from you very soon !!
I love autumn… Everything about it, makes me happy. I love the colours, colder weather and even the rain from time to time. As a child and later teenager I waited all year-long to go to the park in September and shuffle through the fallen leaves. There is nothing like it and I miss it very much.
The most autumnal colours I can think of would have to be khaki green, deep orange and burgundy. I love all of them and that is how this outfit came about. I do not own anything in deep orange so I went for familiar pieces with my favourite pair of over-the-knee boots which are another reason why I wait for autumn to come round !
Nothing I am wearing in today’s post is new. I had everything for at least couple of months or years and I cannot be happier with this outfit. If I was to name one thing I would suggest to invest in this particular season, I would be a good and comfortable pair of boots. I love the over-the-knee ones but the choices are endless with variety of styles, fabrics and price brackets. I will link few similar to mine that I like the most if you are interested…
I am not a romantic person and my idea of the date night is staying at home and watching House of Cards with a cup of earl grey. However, from time to time it is nice to make an effort and dress in a more feminine way. I had a pleasure of staying overnight in Lincoln this weekend as a part of a treasure hunt (I will keep You updated on that..) and we decided to spend the evening in town.
I tried to keep my romantic spirit going by putting on this dress but wanted to add a twist with a military style coat. The dress is my newest purchase from Topshop– very delicate piece that will see You through the wedding season as well as those special occasions date nights.. The coat is a real treasure from Zara that looks like a million dollars, worth every penny I paid for it..
My shoes and handbag have been staple pieces in my wardrobe for some time. I got my handbag as a wedding gift from my awesome husband and shoes were the sale purchase. By creating this look I wanted to prove that high street has as much to offer as designers. The pieces can be equally beautiful and well-made. What matters is the quality of the material and how versatile they are.
I hope You will like what I put together.. please let me know !!
